Harvest 2018
To link with CAFOD's 'Brighten Up' campaign, we all dressed up in bright clothes and welcomed Vin Brennan into school to deliver Cafod's Harvest Assembly. We heard about CAFOD's valuable work here in the UK and all around the world. We sang, prayed and listened wonderfully. In response to this assembly, the whole school took part in a sponsored walk to support CAFOD. We walked to Hadlow Station and back; it was a beautiful day and we hope our sponsor money and prayers will bless many other people around the world.
Lent 2018
May God bless you and keep you during this most holy season.
During Lent this year, we will be supporting CAFOD’s ‘Give It Up’ campaign and hoping to raise as much as we can to help people in need around the world. Mr Brennan from CAFOD is visited us on Thursday 15th February to share an assembly to tell us all about it.
The children heard about what they can do to take part and the difference that any money we raise will make. The government have also promised to match each £1 CAFOD raise so any money we raise for CAFOD will be doubled!
Each child has received a money box to collect their saved money, sponsor money or loose change. They also have a sponsor form, should they wish to use it.
The choice is yours! Give something up, get sponsors to give something up and/or collect your loose change…
Please can any money and sponsor forms be returned to school by Thursday 29th March.
A HUGE THANK YOU in advance for your involvement in CAFOD’s ‘Give It Up’ Campaign this Lent.
Advent 2017
Our reverse Advent calendar is now up and running! Instead of receiving gifts this Advent, we would like to encourage our school community to give something to those in need. Therefore if you can spare any toiletry products they would be greatly appreciated to fill our reverse Advent calendar box situated in the open area. These items will then be distributed within the local community before Christmas. Thank you for all your support at this very busy time of year! âï¸â¤ï¸

We were delighted to see our recent Harvest celebrations in print in the Ellesmere Port Pioneer.
The article highlights the joyful, prayerful and generous nature of our school community and also tells of our links with CAFOD and the Charles Thompson Mission, via St Anselm's.
Friday 6th October 2017
As part of our annual thanksgiving for the harvest, the whole school community came together for a CAFOD assembly. It was presented by Vin Brennan, a local CAFOD volunteer, and he told us all about where our fundraising is making a difference throughout the world. The CAFOD theme for this year's harvest is 'Brighten Up' and we all dressed in colourful clothes to represent this. We shared a time of prayer, reflection and song together. It was important for us to see the global dimension that our faith in Jesus calls us to and it was wonderful to see the work of CAFOD in El Salvador.
Along with our CAFOD assembly, we were also encouraged to bring in a food donation for the Charles Thompson Mission in Birkenhead. Thanks to a link with St Anselm's College, we were able to make a real connection with a local people who are living the Gospel of Jesus in such a practical and loving way. We are looking forward to a visit from St Anselm's College soon to learn more about the work and impact of the Mission in our locality.
A HUGE thank you to all who made our harvest thanksgiving so successful!
