13.12.18 Quiet lunchtime Mass for Advent. Celebrated by Fr Paul and joined by staff and children.
During the holy season of Advent, our school community meets together as much as possible to spend time in quiet prayer and reflection. This year, our Advent Assemblies were based upon our school Mission Statement. Each gathering followed the pattern of: Remembering we are in the holy presence of God, Lighting the Advent Wreath, Shared Prayer, Scripture, Reflection and exploring our Advent Alphabet and Calendar.
We opened the holy season of Advent using a resource from the Bible Society, which can be viewed here:
The Well Good News of Christmas
October 2018
Every Wednesday and Friday during the month of October, we turned the Y3 classroom into a space to pray the Rosary. Lots of children and adults took up the opportunity to be together and with God at this holy time. We placed the intentions of our school, families and parish community into the hands of Mary to place at the feet of her Son.
Mary, Our Mother, Pray For Us!

Advent 2017
During Advent, all our assemblies had a name or title of Jesus as their focus.
We gathered in the holy presence of God for prayer, quiet and reflections on readings from the Gospels. We gained a rich amount from looking at artwork linked to each name of Jesus, too. All staff and children engaged beautifully and it was a wonderful way to journey through the holy season of Advent together as a community of faith.
November 2017
During November, the Church invites us to remember those who have died and to pray for them. We also pray for peace.
Take some time to reflect on the image of the dove of peace in school.
If you wish, please feel free to add a star to the display to represent someone you would like to pray for. Ask Jesus to bless you, too.
Be with us Jesus, Prince of Peace.
October 2017
Our Lady Help of Christians is the patron of our Diocese of Shrewsbury.
Especially during the month of October, we ask Mary to pray for us and our intentions.
Each Wednesday lunchtime, KS2 children and adults are invited to pray the Rosary with Mrs Bannister in a quiet, calm space.
Our Lady, Help of Christians, pray for us!
September 2017
Our new school year together begins and we focus on our school mission statement.
May God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit be with us all.
